New Inn Pershore to face Inkberrow in final

NEW Inn Pershore reached the Mick Godwin Cup final with a comfortable 5-1 win over TDMS Evesham in which Kyle Ballard (2), Mark Bellamy, Josh Smith and Dan Rushton scored for New Inn and Luke Phipps netted for TDMS.

New Inn’s final opponents will be Inkberrow who overcame Cropthorne on penalties after the sides drew 2-2. John Boother and Luke Alexander scored for Cropthorne and Steve McManus hit a double for Inkberrow.

TDMS Harvington reached the last four of the WFA Sunday Minor Cup with a 6-2 victory at Strawberry Field United thanks to goals from Harry Quirke (3), Luke Woodfield (2) and Kodi Sallis.

In Evesham Sunday League Division Two, Fladbury won 5-0 at Pebworth to all but end the home team’s promotion hopes as Will Green (2), Max Ferriday, Harry Johns and Harry Bermingham found the net.




The top three teams in Division Three all won. Leaders Ashton 88 overcame Alcester Town 3-2 through Lewis Carter (2) and Matthew Ingles, with Will Calcroft bagging a brace for Alcester.

Stratford HGC won 3-0 at Ambi Allsports thanks to goals from Richard Hawkins (2) and Kyle Nicholls and Stour Excelsior overcame a spirited Bengeworth 7-4 courtesy of strikes from Nick Walker (3), Jack Murphy, Tom Grace, Alex Gregg and Nick Shurmer, with Lewis Bastow (2), Ash Adlington and Josh Scarrott scoring for Bengeworth.


Bredon moved out of the bottom two with a 4-3 victory over Vale United in which Paul Law (2) and Keiran White scored for Vale but the home team responded with goals from Sam Dixon-Griffiths (2), David Huggins and Jack Davies. Fairfield Titans and Dragons drew 2-2.

A second successive defeat ended Bretforton Sports Club’s Division One title hopes as they went down 3-1 at Broadway United through goals from Ben Horsburgh, Will Aspey and Jason Horsburgh. Luke Smith-Daniel replied for Sports Club.

Evesham WMC hit six without reply at Tewkesbury Town as the Workies ran riot through Sam Ford (3), Dom Hartland (2) and Bradley Izod and Offenham Rovers moved within a point of safety thanks to a 5-1 victory at Stour Excelsior through goals from Radu Nicholaita (2), Jake Hall, Ryan Harris and David Waters.

The Evesham Mechanical Services KO Cup final takes place at Evesham United on Sunday (5pm) between Evesham WMC and Strawberry Field United.
