PAST Vale Golf Club lady skippers welcomed in their new lady captain Pauline Laight with a guard of honour before she performed the customary drive-in, which raised more than £200 for her chosen charity, St Richard’s Hospice.
Once the formalities were completed, 50 ladies played a 12-hole greensomes matchplay competition between two teams – captain versus vice-captain – and it was the captain’s side which prevailed.
