A LAST-GASP goal clinched District Tournament glory for Bredon Hill Academy’s year six netball team as they emulated the success of their year seven counterparts.
The year six tournament, hosted by Bredon Hill, was a keenly contested event and the outcome all came down to the final game.
Bredon Hill’s A team and St Barnabas had both beaten St Egwin’s, Abbey Park and Bredon Hill B, so the result of the final game between the two sides with 100 per cent records was crucial.
Bredon Hill took a one-goal advantage into half time, but St Barnabas levelled early in the second half.
However, with seconds remaining on the clock, Bredon Hill scored a decisive goal to be crowned champions.
