EVESHAM VeloPark is set to play host to the second round of the British Pedal Car Championship next month.

The event takes place on Sunday, May 7 with the VeloPark in Evesham to stage a six-hour endurance race that starts at noon and runs non-stop through to 6pm in a test of stamina, tactics and skill.

Teams from across the United Kingdom will be in attendance following the season opener at Wombwell, Yorkshire last month.

Pedal car racing involves single-seater human-powered cars in races of up to 24 hours in duration with classes from juniors to adults.

Up to six team members can share the driving with the objective to complete as many laps as possible in the quickest time before they hand over the wheel to a teammate.

The sport actively encourages people to learn team working and race craft, along with a good dose of physical fitness and fun along the way.

Royce Engineering from Bournemouth currently lead the way in the 2023 season having won the title last year after Buckinghamshire based Wing Racers were crowned champions in 2021.
