THERE was a straight peg to peg shoot-out to determine the winner of the Evesham Jubilee Angling Society Winter League third round.
On the Jubilee pool, both Andy Mitchell on J12 and Martin Smith on J13 weighed in 60lb-plus weights.
Mitchell won the round for the extra point, taking the section with an excellent winter weight of 87lb 14oz as he beat Smith’s 64lb 5oz into second place. Smith’s weight would normally be enough for a winter match win.
The other section winners were Doug Smith (J23, 23lb 13lb), Ray Nosworthy (J15, 22lb 4oz) and James Gardner (J2, 20lb 14oz).
