EVESHAM United start their eagerly-awaited Southern League Division One South campaign at home to Paulton Rovers on Saturday boosted by the arrival of midfielder Michael McGrath.
The experienced 33-year-old is a gifted player at this level and adds further quality to the new-look Robins midfield recently strengthened by the signing of Jack Cresswell.
McGrath lists Kidderminster, Hereford, Redditch, Alvechurch and Stourbridge among his former clubs and featured as a substitute in Saturday’s 1-0 friendly victory at Sutton Coldfield Town.
Evesham, whose winner arrived in the second half courtesy of a bullet header from Brad Maslen-Jones, are on the road on Wednesday when they make the trip to Larkhall Athletic.
Carl Abbott’s side have been drawn to visit Harefield United in the FA Cup preliminary round on Sunday, August 25.
The clash against the newly-promoted Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side kicks off at 2pm.
Harefield United are the oldest football club in Middlesex, having been founded in 1868.
