TWO young players from Littleton Bowling Club will be representing Worcestershire at the National Championships taking place at Leamington Spa.
Jordan Shelton along with Will Heming beat a pair from the Droitwich team of Vines Park in the Men’s Pairs competition by one shot on Friday to progress to the Victoria Park showpiece.
During the weekend the club held its annual Federation Day when 14 pairs competed playing in any direction across the green to reach their respective jack.
Great fun was had with many shouts and screams as bowls were either colliding with other bowls or players.
The points difference decided the winners with Paul Dunkley with Andrew Auger taking second place on +12 shots and Linda Ogg with Dave Smith taking the Joe Newnham Trophy with +14 shots.
The men’s team also played in the final of the Worcestershire BA’s Vernon Turner Cup competition, losing to a very strong Vines Park side on a very tricky green at Chester Road in Kidderminster.
