Late Hann try guides Evesham U16s to victory over Droitwich

Evesham Editorial 17th Feb, 2017

FLY-HALF Owain Hann touched down in the dying minutes as Evesham Under-16s edged out Droitwich 17-12 to reach the semi-finals of the North Midlands Cup.

James Cross was the Subway’s man of the match in what proved to be a dramatic finale after they trailed 12-10.

Evesham played with desire and purpose throughout the match and controlled the first half to lead 10-5 at half-time with tries from scrum-half Tom Evans and No8 James Cross.

Droitwich scored early in the second period with a converted try and set up a nervous final quarter before Hann went over to reward a fantastic effort from every member of the squad.
