TWENTY-EIGHT ladies from Evesham Golf Club travelled to Bransford Golf Club to play in a Stableford, best two scores to count competition for their Lady Captain’s Away Day.
The sun shone on a beautiful, lush course, which was tricky in places with a lot of water to challenge the minds.
This did not deter the good play and high scoring and the competition also included nearest the pin on all par 3s, which were won by Jean Hunt, Sandra Piovesana, Mel Evans and Gill Smith.
The winning team with 85 points featured Marlene Billings, Gill Smith, Patsy Brumage and Angela Fletcher.
Runners-up with 83 points were Jean Bevan, Frances Wilkinson, Enid Walker and Sandra Piovesana.
