Inkberrow Sunday lead the way

INKBERROW Sunday cemented top spot in Evesham Sunday League Division One with an 8-1 demolition of Alderton in which Will Moore, Alex Bullock and Martin Bloomfield all grabbed a brace each, with Tom Emblem and Keiron Sheen completing the scoring. Louis Upton replied with a consolation for the visitors.

Bretforton Old Boys were victorious by the same score at home to newly-promoted Alderman.

Jamie Clarke scored four goals, Sam Beddoes two and there was one apiece for Phil Davis and Ryan Reeves.

A Sean Cooke hat-trick helped Evesham WMC continue their 100 per cent record with a comfortable 6-2 victory over visitors Mickleton, with Sam Ford (2) and Elliott Grady also netting for the hosts. Josh Keyte replied twice for Mickleton.




In Division Two, TDMS Evesham’s Tom Dixon scored the only goal as his side won a tight game with Stour Excelsior 1-0, whilst hosts Fladbury and Drakes Broughton shared the points with a 3-3 scoreline.

Max Ferriday, Cameron Dickenson and Charlie Green for the home side and Simon Dorrell, Tom Daffin and Chris Jones netted for the visitors.


Bidford Juniors were the highest scorers of the day in Division Three as they secured an exciting 9-4 victory against Stour’s second string.

Connor Griffiths helped himself to seven goals and Peter Hanley and James Morris also netted for Bidford, with Sam Sharpe (2), Alex Gregg and Chris Coe replying for Stour.

Offenham Rovers and New Inn Pershore progressed into the second round of the Worcestershire FA County Premier Cup with convincing wins.

Ben Wiggins (3) and Stuart Davis (2) were in the goals as Rovers defeated South Redditch 9-0 and Kyle Ballard bagged a brace as New Inn saw off Droitwich BGFC Rovers 5-1.

In the Minor Cup first round, Dragons defeated Oak Apple Jazz 2-0 as Dion Mayhew and Matthew Jennings scored and Titans progressed by the same scoreline against The Lodge through goals from James Elwell and Matt Deakin.

Paul Withers and Paul Law were on the mark to guide Vale United to a 2-0 success against Bredon, whilst Fortis required penalties to get past Areley Kings Colts after a 1-1 draw.
