CELEBRATION was in the air when the South Worcestershire Triples League 2016 AGM and presentation was held at Bredon Bowls Club.
In the final few weeks of the 2016 season, it was unclear as to who would emerge as league winners.
After week 17 there were three teams fighting for the championship as Bredon A had 133 points and Aston Somerville A and Overbury A both had 129.
The 18th and final week saw Bredon A take all ten points off Evesham B and finish in top position with 143 points to secure the league trophy and a cheque for £125.
The runners-up trophy and a cheque for £75 went to Overbury A who scored eight points to total 137.
Aston Somerville A could only muster two points in their final match and had to settle for third place with 131 points.
The highest placed B team, finishing in sixth place, was Aston Somerville B with 69 points and they secured the Top B trophy and a cheque for £25.
