HOLDERS Offenham Rovers progressed in the Mick Godwin Cup thanks to a first half strike from Szymanski which proved enough to defeat hosts Alcester Town 1-0 and set up a second round tie with Mickleton Rangers.
Ashton 88 reached the last eight of the competition with a 2-1 win at Bengeworth through goals from Gittus and Frascona, with Burford netting for the home side.
Also into the quarter-finals are Badsey Recreation who won 2-0 at Pebworth and Charlton Fladbury who knocked out fellow Division Two side and visitors Fortis 2-0.
TDMS Harvington were 3-0 victors at Ambi Allsports through goals from Woodfield (2) and Dalloway.
The only Evesham Sunday League games of the day came in Division Three and both produced emphatic wins for the away team as Stratford HGC triumphed 11-0 at Strawberry Field United and TDMS Evesham prevailed 6-1 at Fairfield Titans.
Clifford (3), Dickson (3), Grinnall (3) and Veitch (2) did the damage for Stratford and Henley (2), Patching, Maxted, Cole and an own goal ensured TDMS Evesham’s progress, despite Given’s strike for the hosts.
In the Evesham Hospital Sunday Junior Cup quarter-finals, an impressive display from a young Inkberrow side proved too strong for hosts Stour Excelsior who were beaten 6-0, whilst holders Bretforton Old Boys hit eight first half goals as they cruised through 9-0 at the expense of home side Tewkesbury Town.
Broadway United were 3-2 winners at Mickleton Rangers and last season’s finalists Evesham WMC were knocked out on penalties at New Inn Pershore after a 2-2 draw.
In the Evesham Hospital Sunday Minor Cup second round, Broadway United Reserves continued their excellent season with a 5-1 home victory over Stour Excelsior Reserves, but two other Division Two high-flyers were knocked out.
Alderton lost 2-1 at home to Sun Inn and Bretforton Old Boys Reserves exited 1-0 at Cropthorne.
