PERSHORE Tennis Centre Futures player Jack Hingley represented his club at the Pine Cliffs tenth annual tennis and golf winner’s cup competition.
Hingley qualified having won one of the qualifying tournaments in the summer season of 2019 and he joined an international array of tennis winners at both junior (U18s) and senior levels at the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy located at the Pine Cliff holiday resort in Albufeira, Portugal.
The event organisers assigned the seniors the use of the three hard courts, with the juniors taking the two clay courts to compete on.
Hingley had a bye in the first round as his opponent did not make the start due to travel issues and in the second round Hingley defeated U14s player Lea Holmlund from Sweden 6-0, 6-0.
In the semi-final Hingley faced Russian Mikhail Gudimenko and the Switzerland-based player won 6-3, 6-3 in front of a sizeable crowd before going on to win the tournament.
