Harvington ease to victory over sister side

TDMS HARVINGTON cruised to a 12-2 success at sister club TDMS Evesham to show their promotion intent in Evesham Sunday League Division Two.

Luke Woodfield (5), Jack Philpott (3), Matt Layton (2) and Nathan Reader scored the goals in an emphatic win, with Rob Patching netting twice for the hosts.

Cropthorne are top of the division after Leon Williams scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at Fladbury, whilst Badsey Recreation gained a much-needed 4-3 victory at AFC Cheltenham through strikes from Stuart Davis (2), Dean Cox and Neil Bishop. Liam Robinson (2) and Jamie Robinson scored for the home team.

Stratford HGC head Division Three following a narrow 3-2 home win over Strawberry Field United in which Sam Jalowiecki, Harvey Money and Kyle Nicholls scored for HGC and Keiran Downey and Connor Sherry netted for the Evesham side.




Ashton 88 maintained their perfect start with a 5-2 home victory over Dragons as the village team scored through Alfie Dawe, Jack Fisher, Tom Wall, Leo Fleming and Sam Miles. Darren Wilsden and Alex Lane were on the mark for the visitors.

Newcomers Vale United picked up their first points by defeating visitors Fairfield Titans 4-0 as Graham Westmacott’s hat-trick and a Phil Young goal put the outcome beyond doubt.


Alcester Town hit seven without reply at home to Bredon and Ambi Allsports returned to winning ways with a 9-2 success against visitors Bengeworth in which Aidan Booth (3), Gary Dyke (3) and Scott McKenna (2) all found the net for the hosts and Mark Curtis and Nathan Jelfs scored for Bengeworth.

Bretforton Old Boys remain top of Division One following a comfortable 5-1 win at Offenham Rovers through goals from Ash Booth (2), Jamie Clarke (2) and John Robinson, with James Cresswell the home scorer.

Evesham WMC remain second after a 6-1 victory at Stour Excelsior inspired by Sam Ford’s hat-trick and goals from James Bearcroft, Dom Hartland and Joe Iorns, with Jared Randall netting for Stour.

Bretforton Sports Club remain unbeaten following a narrow 3-2 home success over Broadway United. Ciaran Gilbert, Matt Staley and Luke Smith-Daniel scored for Sports Club and Jason Horsburgh netted a double for Broadway.

Mickleton Rangers and visitors Inkberrow shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in which Dan Morre scored for Rangers and Lewis Sheen did likewise for Inkberrow.

Stour Excelsior Reserves progressed into the Bluck Cup second round with a 5-1 victory at higher-graded Pebworth. The Shipston side’s goals came from Nick Shurmer (2), Sam Johnson, Andy Coyne and Ash Cartwright, with Adam Keen on target for the hosts.
