CHARITY football team Growers United FC will be taking on a West Bromwich Albion Formers Players Association side in a charity football match next month.
Growers United is a group of local companies based in and around the Pershore and Evesham area which undertakes, at its own cost, considerable charity work for local good causes and has already raised substantial funds.
The match on Sunday, September 6 takes place at Pershore Town FC off King George’s Way and will kick-off at 2pm.
Tickets cost £4 and are available from Birdseye Sports in Evesham, Pershore Town Council, Pershore Library and Pershore Town FC. For ticket enquiries, call 01386 556902, and for bookings e-mail [email protected].
This particular match will be raising funds to support three young children suffering from cerebral palsy. On a wider scale though, Growers has in the past and will in the future continue to raise money for a variety of other charities both locally and also, amongst others, Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
