STEVE FOSTER celebrated overall Evesham Jubilee Angling Society Winter League glory with a section win in the final round on the Withies pool.
Eighteen club members contested Sunday’s final round which was won by Phil Seedhouse on J25 with 12lb 12oz.
Runner-up on the day was Ian Pitman with 8lb 3oz on J23 and the three section winners were Mark Court (7lb 10oz), Steve Foster (3lb 10oz) and Mark Birbeck (6oz).
However, it was Foster who prevailed overall as he followed up his fourth round win with a section success.
Foster ended the league on 37 points, three ahead of second placed Pitman on 34.
Chris Taylor also ended on 34 points but was edged into third place on countback.
Final standings: 1st Steve Foster, 37 points; 2nd Ian Pitman, 34; 3rd Chris Taylor, 34; 4th Phil Seedhouse, 32; 5th Doug Smith, 32; 6th Martin Smith, 31; 7th Steve Rogers, 30; 8th Ray Nosworthy, 30.
