LEVI Steele scored a brace to inspire Evesham United to a 2-1 home win against Hungerford Town.
Steele struck either side of half time after Harry Williams drew the visitors level at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium.
The result means Evesham sit 11th in the Southern League Premier South table.
United broke the deadlock on 37 minutes when Steele finished into an empty net after Andre Wright pounced a misplaced header at the back.
However, Hungerford equalised one minute after half time as Williams saw his powerful effort deflect into the net.
The Robins reclaimed the lead on 71 minutes when Steele broke clear and coolly found the bottom left corner when one-on-one with the Hungerford goalkeeper.
Evesham are next in action against Racing Club Warwick in the FA Cup on Saturday, September 13 with kick-off at 3pm at Townsend Meadow.
