FOOTBALL - Pershore Town to play Worcester City in Hellenic League Premier next season

Evesham Editorial 17th May, 2023   0

PERSHORE Town can look forward to a tasty clash with Worcester City in their first season as a Hellenic League Premier club after the FA released the National League System club allocations for steps one to six.

The Plums won the Hellenic League Division One title last season under the guidance of Danny Janes who has since stepped away from his duties to complete his masters degree.

And Pershore are one of five new teams entering the league along with Worcester who have been moved laterally into the division from the Midland Premier League.

They are joined by Cinderford Town, Highworth Town and Slimbridge who were all relegated from the step above.

Town can also look forward to fixtures against Sixways-based Worcester Raiders, Westfields and Corsham Town.

The rest of the league is made up of Brimscombe and Thrupp, Fairford Town, Hereford Lads Club, Hereford Pegasus, Longlevens, Lydney Town, Roman Glass St George, Royal Wootton Bassett, Shrivenham, Thornbury Town, Tuffley Rovers and Wantage Town.

All leagues are subject to FA Council ratification.
