BEN Tilbury scored a second-half brace as Pershore Town reached the quarter-finals of the Worcestershire Senior Cup with a 3-1 win against Bewdley Town.
Tilbury sealed Pershore’s place in the last eight after James Baldwin opened the scoring at Ribbesford Meadows.
And the Plums will play Bromsgrove Sporting in the quarter-finals of the competition at the Victoria Ground on Tuesday, November 12 with kick-off at 7.45pm.
Pershore took the lead when Baldwin headed home from three-yards out after Tilbury flicked on Bailey Fuller’s corner at the near post.
However, Bewdley equalised when Scott Loader committed a foul in the box and Mike Bridges stepped up to bring the home side level.
The Plums reclaimed the lead after the break as Tilbury headed home Taylor Eades’ cross from the right.
And Tilbury grabbed his second of the game from the penalty spot to settle the tie after Aidan Clark drew a foul in the box.
Pershore are next in action against Fairford Town on Saturday, October 26 with kick-off at 3pm at Cinder Lane.
