PERSHORE Town have named Lewis Marston as the club’s new first team manager to replace hugely successful outgoing boss Danny Janes.

Marston was previously head coach of Leamington’s under-23’s side where he won the league and league cup during his two seasons in charge.

And Marston, a current UEFA B Licence candidate, is also the Warwick University Tier 1 head coach and will remain in his role as Leamington’s professional development phase coach.

Marston said: “I’m looking forward to taking over the solid foundations that Danny has put in place here at Pershore Town.

“One thing that has stood out for me was how the club interacts with the local community, there is a real buzz on and off the field and I can’t wait to build on that.

“It is an exciting time to be at Pershore Town, and I can’t wait to be a part of that journey.”

Marston’s backroom staff will be announced in due course.

The young coach has big shoes to fill at the Community Stadium after former boss Janes led the club to the Hellenic League Division One title last season.

He also guided the club to a stunning Worcestershire Senior Cup win in 2021/22 before stepping away from his role at the end of the 2022/23 campaign to complete his master’s degree.
