EVESHAM United returned to winning ways in style with a 5-0 home victory against struggling Tiverton Town.

A brace from Levi Steele and further goals from Andre Wright, Will Owens and Kai Churchley saw the Robins return to winning ways at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium.

And the result means Evesham sit sixth in the Southern League Premier South table, one point outside of the play-off places.

The Robins broke the deadlock inside 60 seconds when Steele calmly finished past Tiverton goalkeeper George Burton after quick-thinking from Alex Harris and Owens.

Evesham doubled their lead on 10 minutes as Wright produced a confident finish from Aaron Heap’s cross.

And the home side all but sealed the points on 38 minutes when Owens’ corner slipped through the gloves of Burton and went directly into the net.

The Robins struck again on 52 minutes as Steele grabbed his second of the game from close range after good work from Amer Awadh.

And substitute Churchley completed the scoring on 71 minutes with a fine solo goal as he blasted the ball into the top-right corner after a mazy run down the left.

Evesham are next in action against Berkhamsted on Tuesday, October 14 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Glencar Community Stadium.
