EVESHAM United exited the FA Cup at the third round qualifying stage following a 4-1 defeat against higher-division AFC Telford United.
The Robins surrendered an early lead after Amer Awadh’s deflected strike stunned the hosts at New Bucks Head.
However, Josh Barlow levelled the game moments later before Remi Walker put the home side ahead and Matty Stenson netted a late brace.
The defeat brings an end to Evesham’s run in the competition against a Telford side who play their trade in the National League North.
Evesham took the lead against the run of play on 13 minutes when Awadh’s near-post effort deflected into the Telford net.
However, the home side equalised less than a minute later as Ioan Richards’ attempted clearing header ricocheted off Barlow and past Alex Harris in the Evesham goal.
Telford completed the turnaround on 62 minutes when Walker lobbed Harris from 30-yards out after the goalkeeper’s initial clearance fell straight at the feet of the midfielder.
And the home side all but confirmed Evesham’s exit on 83 minutes when Stenson scored from the penalty spot after Aaron Heap fouled Dylan Allen-Hadley in the box.
Stenson completed the scoring in injury time with a hooked finish after Harris kept out Ricardo Dinanga’s initial effort.
Evesham are next in action against Ilkeston Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday, October 4 with kick-off at 3pm at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium.
