Fladbury's super six is a fine start

DIVISION Two outfit Fladbury got their Evesham Sunday League season off to a flying start with a 6-3 victory at Stour Excelsior as Matt Taylor (2), Will Green (2), Lukasz Kutko and Cavan Jason-Ryan scored the goals.

Stour replied through Rob Shurmer, Dale Simpson and Thomas Wright.

Bear FC hit five without reply against visitors Ashton 88 through a Martin Tomes hat-trick and Connor Sherry and Jamie Harrison goals.

Jay Tilbury (2) and Daniel Drake were on target for Stratford HGC in their 3-0 win at Broadway Athletic.




Goals from Ben Solomon, Luke Phipps and Harrison Middleton put TDMS Evesham in charge at home to Broadway United as the hosts led 2-0 before the match was abandoned due to unacceptable behaviour towards the referee.

A Gavin Hunter strike proved enough for Drakes Broughton Rangers to take the points with a 1-0 success at Harvington Harriers.


Titans enjoyed a 2-1 victory at Ashton 88 Reserves in Division Three through goals from Taylor Barrett and Steven Vizor. Lewis Carter scored for the hosts.

Newcomers Asum Athletic defeated visitors Stour Excelsior Reserves 5-2 thanks to goals from George Mallory (3), Aiden Booth and Callum Mason, whilst Stour’s goals came from Daniel Savage and Alex Gregg.

A Connor Griffiths treble led Bidford Juniors to a 3-2 victory against visitors Bredon, for whom Dan McGuigan and Matt Tarling netted.

A second half Jack Murphy strike earned Tewkesbury Athletic a first league win at the expense of Vale United as the hosts were beaten 1-0.

Fortis comfortably accounted for Dragons 5-1 through goals from Jonathan Wallace (2), Ben Herborn, Kieran Napper and Jamie Simcox. Scott Danby struck for the visitors.

In Division One, Inkberrow showed they mean business with a 5-0 victory at Alderman United through a Tom Emblem hat-trick and Greg Guy and Jack Dicker strikes.

Bretforton Old Boys defeated visitors TDMS Harvington 4-1 as Sam Beddoes, Callum Law, Luke Richardson and an own goal did the damage. Chris Handy scored for Harvington.

James Schembri (2), Elliott Grady and Nathan Tomkotowicz scored for Evesham WMC in a 4-1 home victory over Offenham Rovers.

New Inn Pershore and Mickleton Rangers drew 3-3 as both teams secured a first point of the season.

Jack Hughes, Jake Brant and an own goal accounted for New Inn’s goals, whilst visitors Rangers’ goals came from Robert Singer (2) and Jason Beasley.
