THE NEXT generation of Pershore Ladies played their first touch match on Sunday – a friendly against a fledgling girls’ touch team at Stratford.
Undeterred by the rain, the nine Pershore girls – all aged under 13 – were jubilant to be putting their skills into action in the training match and will be playing another friendly against Stratford at home in November.
Touch is a non-contact form of rugby and training for under 13s takes place every Sunday between 10-11am at Pershore Rugby Club in Wyre Piddle.
For over 13s, women and men, training takes place at the same time on Sundays and every Wednesday at 7.30pm. Anyone can come along and have a go and the first three sessions are free. Contact Fizz Bewley on 01905 381080 for details.
