GLORIOUS weather and superb course conditions are continuing to provide Broadway Golf Club’s members with some excellent scoring opportunities as demonstrated in the ladies’ England Golf Medal.
Out of the 34 ladies playing, Jenny Buchan strode into first position in the Silver Division with 71 nett and also achieved best gross with 87. Close behind in second position was Rachel Rigg with 72.
In the Bronze Division Sue Taylor took first place with a well earned 77 nett and Judith Noyce was second with 78.
The men’s teams continued the trend when 90 played in the Division One and Two Medals over the weekend and the battle for first position was hard fought as all three winning positions came in an incredible three under course scratch on the day.
James Russell came in first with 68 nett, just beating Patrick Mills on countback. Patrick came in with a lowest gross of 73, which left Ian Chambers to take a commendable third position.
