EVESHAM climbed into fifth place in Midlands Two West (South) with a fourth successive league win on Saturday.
The tense 10-8 victory over hosts Berkswell & Balsall was a fifth win in a row in all competitions for the Vale side.
Ashley Icke scored the sole try for Evesham, who snatched four points in the dying seconds of the match thanks to Mike Harris’ penalty.
At the top of the table, there is still no stopping both Malvern and Droitwich who have won all six league games.
Evesham face a stern test on Saturday when they host Droitwich, who were promoted alongside Evesham last season and also beat the Vale side in the Midlands Senior Vase final on their way to the national final at Twickenham.
