Evesham kickboxers secure top titles

Evesham Editorial 9th Nov, 2016   0

UKCBA EVESHAM Kickboxing stars have been impressing across the country in numerous World Ring Sports Association title bouts.

Kev Hall challenged for the British heavyweight Sport Boxing Pro/Am title against Mike Church of Bristol and Hall won on a unanimous decision against the home fighter.

Next in action, also in Bristol, was Martin Kabrhel fighting for an Area Light Heavyweight Pro/Am Sport Boxing title and he too won with a unanimous decision.

On the same night two Evesham fighters travelled to Alfreton in Derbyshire.

Annabelle Shoob fought French girl Laury Vito for the Pro/Am International title – the third time these two had taken each other on – with one win apiece heading into their latest bout.

Shoob was in no mood to mess about and dominated the fight from the third round to secure a unanimous decision.

Next up was Jamie Garrington and he too triumphed to secure the Area title, making it a clean sweep of successes on the night for Evesham fighters.

UKCBA has been running as a martial arts club for more than 30 years but moved into kickboxing in 1992 and has produced numerous champions from Midlands area to world champions.

The club trains three times per week between 7.30-8.30pm on Wednesdays, 6.15-7.15pm on Thursdays and 11am-noon on Sundays at Bengeworth Church House.
