Evesham Jubilee have reason to celebrate

EVESHAM Jubilee won the annual ten-a-side team challenge at the weekend with victory over visitors Bidford AC.

Jubilee ran out the winners to regain the Challenge Shield on Saturday with 131 points against Bidford’s 80 points.

The top four individual places also went to Jubilee anglers.

David Bowditch (peg 13) won the match with 57lb 9oz, Phil Seedhouse (peg one) was second with 41lb 8oz and third was Chris Taylor (peg 25) with 37lb 2oz.




The fourth individual prize was claimed by Jubilee captain Billy Pitman (peg seven) with 35lb 3oz.

On Sunday, Jubilee members then took part in the pairs match which saw each duo fishing on separate pools


Then on Sunday members fished the fishery pairs match with an each pair fishing on separate pools.

Pete Lewis and Tony Hemming won the match with a combined weight of 80lb 6oz.

Doug Smith and Andy Mitchell came in second with 77lb 15oz while Mark Birbeck and Glen Blewett finished third with their 77lb 5oz.

The final placed pair were Ron Evans and Chris Cole with 73lb 0oz.

Top individual lake winners were Lewis on the Jubilee pool with 62lb 9oz and Smith on the Withies with 52lb 9oz.
