EVESHAM returned to winning ways in Midlands Three West (South) with a gruelling 20-10 success in awful conditions at Upton-on-Severn under the floodlights last Friday.
Running rugby was practically impossible but the Avonsiders did enough to move into third place and within 13 points of second placed Ledbury.
A key period in the promotion race now awaits as Evesham host lowly Woodrush on Saturday when Ledbury entertain runaway leaders Droitwich.
Favourable results in these games for Evesham could leave them within eight points of the Herefordshire side ahead of Ledbury’s visit to Blind Lane on February 18.
Meanwhile, sponsorship opportunities are available for Evesham’s eagerly anticipated Midlands Senior Vase final at home to Droitwich on March 18.
The winners will progress to the national semi-finals and be just one more victory from a place in the Twickenham final.
