THE LADIES of Evesham Golf Club played for the Ray Till Tankards in perfect conditions on Tuesday.

The tankards were donated in 1984 and the competition is played as Greensomes with half combined handicap and is called a Bogey event.

This year the winners were Mel Evans and Jenny Masser with a score of +4.

A friendly competition ran alongside and the winner of this was Alison Scott.

HANDICAP league captain Gavin Griffiths took all the honours in winning the Baker Cup at a very wet Evesham Golf Club on Saturday.

In a competition that also doubled up as the June Medal, Griffiths took the trophy with an impressive score of 70 off his nine handicap and continued the recent good form he has been showing.

Runner-up to Griffiths was Hywel Jones (83-12=71) one shot back while Paul Sharp (83-11=72) came in third a further shot back from these players from Division One.

Dave Tarry (88-16=72) won Division Two, Ian Tyrrell (86-13=73) was second and Pete Stanley (86-13=73) was third.
