AN IMPRESSIVE 35 points clinched top spot for Esther Pettitt and Louise McKee in Broadway Golf Club ladies’ round three Winter League contest.
The Foursomes format for this pairs event allowed for one team member to drive the even holes and the other the odds, then playing alternate shots to the green.
Played over 16 holes, the match was hard fought and behind the winners came second placed Sonia Ward and Chris Parkinson with 30 points, above third and fourth placed Hazel Balding and Lin Everitt and Rita Harrison and Ange Sollis respectively on countback.
The fourth round Foursomes contest takes place in January.
