PERSHORE High School’s Elise Blake won a silver medal as she impressed at the Army Cadet National Athletics Championships at Grantham in Lincolnshire.
Having gained a place to represent the Midland region in the 800m and 200m, the 15-year-old from Norton turned on the style.
Up against cadets in her age group from across the UK, Elise gained a silver in the 800m, only missing out on gold by one second.
She finished a very respectable fourth on her debut in the 200m, narrowly missing out on a bronze medal.
