On the same day his Wheelers team-mates Steve Goodbier, Gareth Griffiths and Justin Neales rode the The Cumbrian 200 – a 203km audax starting from Troutbeck Bridge in Cumbria.

The challenging anti-clockwise tour of the Lakes started near Windermere and took in Caldbeck, Buttermere, Wasdale Head, Duddon Valley and Coniston.

The trio completed the event in 11.5 hours at an average speed of 13.4mph, with 3,988m of climbing.
