DIVISION Two outfit Cropthorne reached the WFA Sunday Minor Cup final thanks to a superb 2-1 win at much-fancied Bromsgrove Academicals as Aron Letterese and Neil Taylor scored for the village team, who have put their poor league form aside in this competition.

Bretforton Old Boys maintained their quadruple hopes by reaching the last four of the WFA Sunday Junior Cup with a resounding 13-0 home win against Warndon Villages. Sean Brain (6), Sam Beddoes (4), Adrian Witts, Steven Edghill and Ryan Reeves were the scorers for Bretforton, but Broadway United were beaten 2-0 at home by Redditch side CBH Fasteners.

Holders Offenham Rovers are through to the semi-finals of the Mick Godwin Cup after a comfortable 4-1 home win over TDMS Harvington. Rovers scored through Jason Cresswell, Jake Andrews, Charlie Szymanski and Radu Nicolaita and Harvington replied with a Wallace effort.

Also through are Badsey Recreation who won 2-1 at Charlton Fladbury thanks to two first half goals. Andy Clements was the hosts’ scorer.




In Evesham Sunday League Division One, Mickleton Rangers took a big step towards survival with a 5-2 victory at Tewkesbury Town, whilst New Inn Pershore picked up a much-needed three points as they came from behind to defeat visitors Stour Excelsior 2-1.

An Edward Casewell goal gave Stour an interval lead before goals from Kyle and Joel Ballard turned the game around.


The top two met in Division Two and honours were shared between Alderton and visitors Broadway United Reserves in a 1-1 draw in which Liam Pennell scored for Alderton and Jack Steele netted for Broadway.

Bretforton Old Boys Reserves closed the gap on the leaders with a 6-0 win at Bredon through Ashleigh Booth (2), Simon Brain, Mike Jennings, Henry Woods and Tim Beattie.

Sun Inn won 3-1 at Fortis through Simon Prince, Edd Major and Jordan O’Brien.

Pebworth opened a five-point lead at the top of Division Three thanks to a 2-0 triumph at Fairfield Titans in which Dave Jeffreys and Dan Chapman scored.

Stour Excelsior lost 7-4 at home to Strawberry Field United despite goals from Sam Johnson, Paul Jewett, Tom Grace and Tobias Kemp.

Ashton 88 have moved into second place following a 5-1 victory at Ambi Allsports in which Colin Dawe scored for Ambi and Keiran James (2), Graham Begley, Will Stevens and Sam Craze scored for Ashton.

Alcester Town defeated visitors Bengeworth 2-1, whilst Dragons and visitors TDMS Evesham shared six goals as Adam Hinchcliffe (2) and Brett Danby scored for Dragons and Will McGarr (2) and Shaun Henley netted for TDMS.
