SILVERWARE came to Pershore Cricket Club when the Plums won the Worcestershire Cricket Board Over 45s final against Droitwich.
Pershore scored 172 off their 35 overs thanks to key contributions from Dom Capaldi (50 retired not out), Martin Johnson (46) and Neal Cooper (37 not out).
In reply, Droitwich were all out for 141 in which Paul Bryan (51 retired not out) and Karl Goddard (34 not out) led a middle-order rally after a slow start.
The Plums’ over 45s team (also known as the Prunes) finished runners-up in last year’s final but this season the Prunes are unbeaten, having also overcome Rushwick, Stourport, Bewdley and Earlswood on their way to winning this competition.
