AFTER prolonged unseasonal weather, six crews finally took to the water for the first time this season at Arden Sailing Club in Defford on Sunday.
A sunny day and light but fickle north westerly breeze set the scene for the Spring Handicap Series.
All crews started and finished the four-lap course and after applied handicaps the result was: 1st – Niall/Jane Campbell (Enterprise); 2nd – David Brydon (Heron); 3rd – Simon Newman (Streaker); 4th – Tricia Wood (Comet); 5th – Keith Stevens; 6th – Steve Ryder (Comet).
