PERSHORE 3rd XI seamer Mike Bunn took his second Worcestershire League hat-trick of the season on Saturday.
Bunn took 5-40 off seven overs as the Plums recorded a losing draw at home to Division Five table-toppers Barnt Green 3rds.
Pershore 3rds closed on 188-8 off their 45 overs in reply to Barnt Green’s 244-9.
Last month 50-year-old Bunn managed to take an astonishing eight wickets, including his first ever hat-trick, in a match-winning display for Pershore 4ths.
PERSHORE’S first team lost ground on Birmingham League Division Two leaders Oswestry as they had to settle for a losing draw at lowly Coventry & North Warwickshire.
Pershore recovered from 122-6 to post 201-8 off their 55 overs as Chris Ridings (53) and Charlie Norton (44no) impressed.
The visitors then produced a superb bowling display, with their entire attack never tightening their grip on the home batsmen.
Luke Dalley took 2-31 off 12 overs, Charlie Cross 1-35 off 16, Darren Critcher 2-30 off nine and Taylor Pugh 2-26 off 15, but the hosts clung on to close on 132-7.
The Plums remain second, 38 points behind the Shropshire side and 13 above third placed Fordhouses, who Pershore travel to on Saturday.
