ARON Taylor-Smith secured top-10 finishes in all three races at Brands Hatch in the second round of the new British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season.
Driving for Evesham-based Evans Halshaw Power Maxed Racing , Taylor-Smith just missed out on a podium finish in race three after crossing the line in fourth after 10th place finishes in race one and race two.
Taylor-Smith overtook race three polesitter and eventual race winner Ronan Pearson with a storming start only for the latter driver to reclaim the place at the end of the first lap.
And Taylor-Smith then lost second place to Tom Chilton who made a huge lunge down the inside at Paddock Hill Bend late on as both cars ran wide which allowed reigning champion Ash Sutton to sneak into third.
Teammate Mikey Doble finished 13th in race one, ninth in race two and 15th in race three.
Taylor-Smith leads the independent drivers standings on 114 points ahead of Doble on 104 points while Power Maxed Racing sit fifth in the teams standings.
Power Maxed Racing return to the track at Snetterton on May 25 and 26.
