BOTH Broadway United teams lost their unbeaten Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League records at the weekend.

In Division One, the first team fell to a surprise 4-2 defeat at Offenham Rovers in which the home side scored through Szymanski (2), Tomes and Lukaszewski, with Broadway netting through Jason Horsburgh and Parker.

Bretforton Old Boys closed the gap at the top with a 4-1 home victory over New Inn Pershore. Brain (3) and Cooke netted for Old Boys and Smith scored for New Inn.

Stour Excelsior took the honours 4-2 against visitors Inkberrow with goals from Drinkwater (2), Pratt and Harris, whilst Inkberrow struck through Emblem and McManus.

In the top of the table Division Two clash, a Matt Staley hat-trick earned visitors Bretforton Old Boys Reserves the points in a 3-0 success at Broadway United Reserves.

TDMS Harvington hit five without reply against visitors Badsey Recreation as Woodfield, Davies, Quirke, Bunn and Wallace all netted.

Charlton Fladbury enjoyed a 5-2 home win against Bredon, whilst a Boother double proved enough to give Cropthorne a 2-0 victory at Fortis.

In Division Three, Strawberry Field United went goal crazy in a 10-1 win at Bengeworth in which Sherry (3), Wallace (2), Hall, Colston, Mullins, Toms and an own goal did the damage. Palmer netted for Bengeworth.

Donnison’s treble and an Ahmed effort guided Dragons to a 4-1 home victory over Stratford HGC, for whom Beasley scored.

TDMS Evesham won 3-1 at Ambi Allsports as McGarr (2) and Cole scored for the academy team, with Bullock scoring for Ambi.

Pebworth led through goals from Chapman and Mallory before second half goals from Johnson and Young earned visitors Stour Excelsior Reserves a point in a 2-2 draw, whilst Alcester Town drew 2-2 at home to Ashton 88.

Both Evesham league teams were knocked out of the GFA Sunday Premier Cup at the quarter-final stage as Mickleton Rangers were well beaten 5-1 at Frampton CC, whilst in a high-scoring game Tewkesbury Town drew 6-6 at SLR Commy before the hosts won on penalties.

In the GFA Sunday Intermediate Cup quarter-finals, Sun Inn went down 7-1 at Abbeymead Rovers, but there was better news at Alderton where the home team were 6-0 victors over Abbey Lions.
