ONLY four Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League matches survived the overnight frost, but Bretforton Old Boys took the opportunity to reach the last four of the Bluck Cup as they secured an 8-2 victory over visitors Evesham United Sunday.

Leading by a single goal at the interval, Old Boys netted seven second half goals to ease through. Their goals came from Jennings (2), Gayton (2), Stride, Brain, Unwin and Dovey, whilst Matt and Dave Ashby scored for the Robins.

In Division One, goals from Stuart Reading and Nathan Tomkotowicz saw Cider Mill earn three much-needed points in their fight for safety as they defeated visitors Tewkesbury Town 2-0.

In Division Two, Harvington earned a 3-2 win at Badsey Recreation. Attwood and Bolland scored for the home team but goals from Wallace, Cother and Philpott gave the visitors victory.

There was also one match in Division Three in which hosts Ashton 88 and Stour Excelsior Reserves drew 3-3.

Begley (2) and James were on target for Ashton but Stour came from two goals down at the interval to claim a point thanks to strikes from Morris, Roberts and Gregg.
