BRETFORTON Ladies 2nds secured a second successive victory as they completely dominated Saturday’s match.
After ten minutes of constant pressure, a goalmouth scramble saw forwards Lucy Cole and Cat Benwell battling for the ball and it was Benwell who got the final touch to put the hosts ahead.
Ness Dufty’s fine individual run was rewarded with a goal when her strike took a deflection and beat the keeper to double the lead before the break.
In the second half player of the match Emily Lacy showed some blistering pace on the left wing and the hosts went 3-0 up 15 minutes into the second period when Lesley MacKinnon’s fine pass found Hannah Dufty and she set up Ness Dufty who again fired the ball home.
The goal of the match was then scored by Lucy Cole, who had been unlucky not to score in the first half, when Lacy slipped the ball through to Cole and she coolly converted when one-on-one with the keeper.
The match ball was sponsored by 18th birthday girl Molly Stock. Bretforton, now up to sixth, return to league action at home to Ross-on-Wye on November 7.
