BREDON A were victorious on home soil when Bredon Bowls Club played host to the South Worcestershire Triples League Annual Gala Day.
The ten-team event went to schedule, with the dry weather holding out and a lot of tension on the final round of matches creating a lot of suspense and speculation as to who would be champions.
At the close of play there were four teams who ended up winning four out of their five games, with all four finishing with eight points each.
This resulted in the need for a countback on shot difference to find the outright winning team.
Top four: 1st Bredon A 57-27; 2nd Aston Somerville A 57-30; 3rd Overbury A 55-32; 4th Evesham A 47-41.
