MARTIAL ARTS enthusiasts showcased their skills at London Chinatown Tae Kwon-Do’s (LCTKD) annual multi-club tournament – the Bredon Hill Cup.
In this competition, individual students compete across six different competitions – sparring, tag team sparring, traditional patterns, creative patterns, synchronised patterns and best moves – each with multiple age categories.
The person who accumulates the most points across the categories becomes the Bredon Hill Cup Grand Champion and the team with the most points wins the Grasshoppers Trophy.
Once again the Cotswolds did well as the young team from Moreton-in-Marsh – White Tigers – won the Grasshoppers Trophy and their students Jacob-Joseph Lloyd and Aled Davies claimed first and second places and Kitebrook’s Olivia Hardwick the PeeWee prize.
Also impressing were Vale of Evesham clubs, with Badsey’s newcomer Dan Gaden, Broom’s experienced team of Doug Knight and Marie Hall and Ashton-under-Hill’s swordsman Mike Coleman all winning medals.
LCTKD was born in the heart of London’s Chinatown and now has classes in Chinatown, the Cotswolds, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. Visit www.lctkd.com for more.
