MARK BIRBECK was victorious in Sunday’s Keith Stanley Memorial Match on Evesham Jubilee Angling Society’s Jubilee and Withies pools.
Twenty-seven club members competed and in a close finish Birbeck on W35 won the match with 67lb 13oz.
He was presented with a silver platter in Keith’s memory by his wife Alwyn at a barbecue after the match.
Second was Andy Mitchell on W30 with 63lb 10oz and third was Phil Seedhouse with the top weight off the Jubilee pool (J37) of 62lb 11oz.
Jason Evans finished fourth off W30 with 55lb 6oz, Doug Smith (J6) with 54lb 12oz was fifth, James Gardner (W25) with 54lb 6oz was sixth and Bob Evans (W36) finished seventh with 51lb 11oz.
Sections winners were John Swain (J1, 48lb 6oz), Billy Pitman (W29, 34lb 14oz) and Chris Taylor (J23, 29lb 2oz).
