Racing Club Warwick 3 Pershore Town 3

Midland League Division One

PERSHORE Town extended their unbeaten run to four games as they earned a deserved share of the spoils at top six outfit Racing Club on Saturday.

The visitors started brightly on a heavy pitch as Jamie Clarke and Steven Roche both went close before Clarke opened the scoring from close range after 12 minutes, finishing a pull back from the byline from Ben Lane.

Warwick immediately equalised through a shot from Lucky Nwosu but after 21 minutes Roche flicked on a long ball for Clarke to get in behind the defence, round the keeper and score.

However, the hosts levelled again through Joseph Wright before half time.

Pershore took the lead for a third time on 55 minutes when Chris Priest and Steve Webb linked up on the right and right back Webb’s shot from the corner of the penalty area went over the keeper and in off the far post.

Town continued to create chances and Clarke, Lane and Reece Jacobs forced Warwick’s keeper into good saves but, with five minutes remaining, the hosts equalised when an Alex Price free kick from the edge of the area into the top corner left Town keeper Shaun Edwards with no chance.

Town are two points above the relegation zone and among a group of five sides separated by just three points.

Pershore entertain Uttoxeter Town at the King George V Stadium on Saturday (3pm).
