A BRIGHT, cold but clear day with a fickle wind set the scene for the final Arden Sailing Club race of the season – Autumn Handicap round four – at Defford on Sunday.
Six single crews started the race set over four laps but only five finished. As with all handicaps, those that finish first or ahead of others on the water are not always the victors, which again proved to be the case.
Overall results: 1st Ralph Evans (Solo); 2nd Niall Campbell (Enterprise); 3rd David Bryden (Heron); 4th Keith Stevens (Comet); 5th Ken Pinfield (Mirror); retired – Andy Dorman.
Arden SC’s 2018 season begins on February 25.
