PERSHORE Town extended their unbeaten run to five matches with a hard earned point against a competitive Uttoxeter team on Saturday.
Pershore’s task was made harder with the loss of both Dean Waldron and Dane Aldington to injury in the first half time.
The hosts’ best effort in the first half was Steve Webb’s left-footed strike from outside the box which went narrowly wide and in the second half they were denied what looked a clear penalty when striker Mark Habbershaw was taken down by Uttoxeter’s keeper.
At the other end, Pershore keeper Shaun Edwards made two very good saves to keep the score level and a draw was a fair result.
Pershore, who sat three points above the relegation zone after Saturday’s matches, entertain high flying Hinckley AFC on Saturday.
