MORE than 50 women golfers from 15 visiting clubs joined The Vale GC’s Ladies contingent for the annual Ladies Charity AM AM at The Vale Golf Club last Thursday.

The day, organised by Audrey Sidwell, Lady Vice Captain at The Vale,  raised £1,800 in aid of the Lady Captain’s charity, St Richard’s Hospice.

Around 100 women played a stableford competition in teams of four with the best two scores to count.

A total of 54 ladies from 15 visiting clubs joined the Vale Ladies on what was a warm sunny day and the course was in great condition producing some excellent scores.

The visitors clearly enjoyed the course because they swept the board with the prizes; only one person in the winning four teams was a Vale lady.

Results: 1 Bev Coleman, Debbie Spencer, Gill Winstanley and Deb Pearman (The Warwickshire) 84 pts; 2 Ros Dawes, Andrea Kiernan, Janice Kerr and Barbara Clark (Redditch) 83; 3 Rosie Shufflebotham (The Vale), Lyn Chambers, Helen Perry and Annabelle Carter (Broadway) 80; 4 Sue Sims, Judy Turner, Jean Badman, and Jane Coleman (Ladbrook Park) 79.
