BROADWAY’S Abigail Brain won the Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur second round at SouthView Equestrian Centre in Winsford, Cheshire.
Riders were in action in both the 95cm and 1.10m second rounds in hope of qualifying for the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool in November.
Breakfast was paid for as Brain clinched victory in the 1.10m event with a speedy round on her own Billy Muesli.
Twenty-seven initially competed over course designer Gillian Milner’s 11-fence, 13-effort track and 14 hopefuls returned clear rounds to tackle the jump-off.
However, nobody could match Brain’s efforts on Billy Muesli as the seven-year-old Kannan x Animo mare answered every call to win with 0.53 seconds in hand.
Qualifications will be updated pending official grading of results.
