Your brilliant photos of the eerie red sun weather phenomenon

Evesham Editorial 16th Oct, 2017 Updated: 16th Oct, 2017   0

YOU may have noticed the eerily strange reddish sky and red-coloured sun in the skies above the Vale today.

The Met Office has said they believe the strange weather phenomena may be due to ex-Hurricane Ophelia blowing in tropical air and dust from the Sahara.

Debris from forest fires in Spain and Portugal may also be contributing to the unusual coloured sky.

The sun appears to be red as a result of the dust causing light particles to be refracted and reflected in longer wavelengths.
